Scottish Late 18th Century Blade - Tempered?

Battara EAAF Staff Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Louisville, KY Posts: 7,219	Scottish Late 18th Century Blade - Tempered? I am straightening a Scottish dirk from the late 18th century and was wondering if the blades from this period were tempered. Does any one know?
