“Boxed” fullering looks Afghani. They had Persian blades, NW Indian Persianised ones, local ones with Persian inscriptions. Persian was the Lingua Franca of that realm. The so-called Pulwar is called Shamshir in Afghanistan.

Perhaps with full pics it might be possible to approach the origin of this blade, but I doubt it.
