Default Shield talks

My friends, this must be a persian shield.

The kind that stops our edged weapons, nice and sturdy

It has 8 cartouches with letters all around. Unfotunatly i cannot read farsi (i suppose it is farsi).

I wish if anyone of you can read it, or has a friend that can read it, please give a translation. At least the general idea.
