A Beautiful Vikingsword, 9th Century!
This was estimated 18,000 - 22,000 euro but failed to sell at auction with von Morenberg, Trento/Italy, 20 June 2010.
Overall length 92 cm. Please note the fine fishbone decoration on the upper section of the blade! Now wouldn't this perfect specimen make a fine and decent logo of our forum, instead of the poor Tuareg sword representing us now?! Jim? Lee? 'Nando? Best, Michael |
