Default 'gold hurap' in buda kris ?

hello all,
a few months ago, I bought a budha kris in dirty conditions (probably from the Singosari era), 'dapur' kris is mundarang, with square 'pesi', after I cleaned several times with sewing machine oil, looks delicate gold grains in almost every bar . whether this so-called 'gold hurap'. I expect an opinion from the forum.
