Default Engineering or battle axe ?

Ciao a tutti

Cesare

Hello everyone
I share with you the pleasure of this item.
Is this ax by engineers or is a battle ax? . The type is well known, but its use extends over more than 500 years. From around 1000 in early 1600. It was typical of the first Frankish peoples of central Europe, then spread to northern Italy.

Under the old rating, the ax of the museum dates from the late fifteenth and early sixteenth century and comes from Northern Italy

I have no reason to change this rating, but if some friend of the forum has any doubt, I assure you that his ideas will be seriously considered.

Thank you for your attention
Cesare
