Hi all,
Just received this knife this morning. It seems I'm finding more and more Indonesian stuff lately. ![]() ![]() My guess is that it's from Bali. Could anyone tell me the correct name of this kind of knife ? I tried to look it up in the book by Zonneveld, but could find anything matching. I think it's an older one (judging from patina on the scabbard). The blade is straight. One edge is sharp over its entire length. The other side has a cutting edge of approx. 2/3 of the blade. This knife has no pamor. Scabbard and handle are made of wood. The scabbard has some iron binding. At the bottom a piece is missing. I'm planning to restore it (when I find the time). Do you think it needs a bone tip or would a wooden one be better ? Total length is : 30,5 cm. Length of blade : 22,5 cm. Here are some pics : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
