Rick Vikingsword Staff Join Date: Nov 2004 Posts: 6,378	I'm guessing that the firing mechanism is matchlock . I can see cords showing around most of the examples shown in the pictures . It would be helpful to know the length of the barrel and the size of the bore , or opening at the end of the barrel ; interesting that there is no provision for a ramrod ; it must have been carried separately .
