Question Not immediately obvious

The form of the blade, if I am viewing the picture correctly as the piece having a raised mid rib, would not be expected in Viking Age material.

For the blade shape, I'd question the possibility of Roman from across the room, but I will need to crack the books as to whether the hilt would fit that context.

Do I see a trio of intentional depressions in the forte of the blade?

What is the length of the blade?
