Everything $60! Philippine blades priced to go!
Everything in this thread is $60 before shipping/paypal fees.
First PM to say "I want ___" gets it I accept paypal only, add 4% to your total for paypal fees. A: Mystery Knife. From southeast asia, althought from where exactly I do not know. Of fairly recent manufacture. Tribal carvings and unique shape. Perhaps Borneo? B: Visayan Plamingko knife. From Ilo Ilo in the Visayas, Philippines. Of recent manufacture. Made for local use. generally used for butchering meats, preparing meals, or as a utility knife when a large bolo would be too cumbersome. Aluminum bolster on hilt, Goat hide and vine wrappings on sheath. Great piece, I just don't have room for it in my collection. C:<<SOLD PENDING FUNDS>> D: Luzon Bolo 16 inch blade. Guard and bolster are Brass, Hilt is made of Carabao Horn, and the sheath is leather. the word "Philippines" is engraved into the side of the blade. Hilt and sheath have the name addressed to a "Chon Holguin" from "Tulare, CA", presumably with numbers that indicate an address. I assume this was shipped back to the States at some point. E: Cebuano-style Plamingko From Cebu, Philippines. A more conventional-looking bowie-style knife, This is used in Cebu mainly to stick pigs. Cebu is known for making the best roast pork in the Philippines (and arguably the world... although there IS a place in Bali that bastes its roast pig in coconut water, but I digress.) Also a great utility knife. Of recent manufacture. Made of 5160 steel. Great finish on this knife. http://i825.photobucket.com/albums/z...omKris/105.jpg http://i825.photobucket.com/albums/z...omKris/107.jpghttp://i825.photobucket.com/albums/z...omKris/108.jpg Have a good day, and Hopefully you see something you like! |
