I took this from an Orientalist painting, 'Pipe smoker' by Charles Lefebvre, Belgium. 1884. I like many of the Orientalist paintings; Pre-Raphaelites too. Realism with a touch of fantasy. And yes, the active posts on African weapons did help bring this one into being. Who knows what might emerge by next month.... ![]() -d |
