Hard to tell much cause the pictures are so dark. Looks like the keris has a silver hilt.

Karset, Welcome to the forum. Just like you we are all amateurs, willing to learn. A lovely keris to start with. It is a Solo keris with wrongko gajaman. Dapur Sempana Bener if I'm not mistaken. Looks indeed that the ukiran is silver and the gondjo has a silver cover as well. Pamor is probably Beras Wutah. Age? That's very difficult to say. Certainly on a keris like this. But it has age. Very nice! |

Welcome karset, I am an amateur too. As already being suggested... better, clearer pictures would help. Would like to request a picture from the top of the hilt, to see the top portion of the ganja's cover. Material cannot be determined, yet... due to insufficient light. Tip: try taking pics during the day with ample sunlight. |

From the newbie artistic point of view, I sense the West Javanese or Northern Coastal pulse over this keris. Old & nice one |

Take it on the bright daylight and you got a better pics. We have seen many woods, ivory and fossil but your silver hilt is unique. It covers the ukiran and the mendak as well. Interestingly some silver repoussed panel covering the base of ganjar too (we often see this layering on Sumatran and minang kabaus kerises). Pamor looks like nunggak semi and wos wutah. Tangguh... (?) no idea. |
