The pictures are a bit dark, but it looks like a nicely formed modern piece to me. It has a full variety of ricikan which is a desirable feature for many collectors. Personally i would prefer that new keris like this not be put through the "aging" process to make them appear older, but i understand that others prefer this look.

Agreed with nechesh on this opinion. Maybe you could include picture of the sheath as well. I like the nicely formed Pudak Sategal. Blade-wise, similar to mine...except for the aging.

I purchased this blade about 4 years ago from the Netherlands. I like the blade work very much. I’ve still got the full description of this blade : Genuine antique royal surakarta pusaka keris with belt and buckle. High quality antique wooden hilt with antique silver selut and mendak, all inlaid with INTEN, (no missing stones) beautiful wooden scabbard, antique chiselled silver sheath with floral motifs, High class 17th century seven waves watered steel Damascus Meteorite blade, perfect visible pamor.

a full description does not make it a genuine kraton keris.
After all, its possible to get "official" documents for every keris in your collection.

Seeing the photo's i agree this is a modern creation, but not less interesting.
the mendak and selut looks like good work to me, and i hope you will share
the photo's with us from the fittings as well.

greetings from the Netherlands.

Well Pusaka, don't dismiss this keris because it doesn't match it's descprition. It's still a very nice keris. Keep in mind that if this keris did truly match that description it would have probably cost you tens of thousands of dollars.
I would also like to see the sheath and belt if possible.

I don’t disagree with what any of you have said, im not sure and I do know that a description does not mean it is genuine. Well as requested here are a few more pics

You sure must agree with all of us that it is a very nice keris after all......
Otherwise you did not aquire it i suppose.

For example i bought last year a keris with that kind of documents too, after research some things seems not correct. No problem, i bought the keris because i liked it. some paper is always handy in a small room!

Sometimes its better to let the keris "speaks for itself" than let others do like the people who want to sell it.

I am sure must have some doubts yourself...your not a greeny in the (small) keris world.
