Default keris?

hi all,

sometimes i read here in this forum, and i think its very good, thank you all.
i'm interesting in keris, and so i look often in ebay and into other good sites about it. now i found a keris, and it look unusual for me. but i have only a bad photo, perhaps anyone can say me more of them?
sorry about my bad english, its not my motherspoken.

Hi Klaus. Yes, the photo isn't very good and it also helps to show both the entire blade and hilt and close-ups and different angles too. The dimensions are also very helpful to have. But my first impression of this piece is that it is an older, somewhat poorly made souvenir piece. Not so much a keris, but more a keris-like object. The poor carving and almost comical naga head along with it's lack of a seperate gonjo (though many completely legitimate blades are gonjo iras) lead me towards this conclusion. It also appears to be a fairly short blade. However, cleaned up with better pictures might reveal a different story.

thanks a lot for you helpful information. here is a link to ebay, who i saw the keris:
the photo here i got from the seller, but i think, he had an bad camera perhaps i will get better photos, i ask him.

Sorry Klaus, it looks to me like this auction is still in progress so we are not allowed to discuss it. When it ends i will tell you more, but yes, these better pictures helped.
