FS: Parang (Borneo) & Laraw topuw (Taiwan)
I have a nice old parang for sale, with the surface rust cleaned off, leaving patina. It has the curved geometry and chisel grind that is typical of these kinds of blades. Almost all in great condition but a bit of wood chipped off the handle, and a piece of rattan binding on the sheath is loose.
$250 (usd) shipping included I also have a modern made laraw topuw. These are blades used by the Atayal group of aboriginal peoples from Taiwan. They are usually used as butcher knives or were hafted onto poles to be used as spears. Topuw means radish, as the shape is fat and vaguely resembles one. $200 (usd) shipping included |
