One thing I can tell you Jimmy is that the scabbard is in Balinese style with the face of a barong on it.

TRISULA, THE FAVORED WEAPON OF SHIVA THIS IS LIKELY FROM BALI AS IT COMES FROM THE HINDU AND IS A NICE EXAMPLE COMPLETE WITH NICELY CARVED BLADE COVER.

Yes this one really is a nice trisula, and it is seldom you see them - congratulation.
KraVseR, have a look at this miniature, it is from King of the World, The Padshahnama, plate 16. It shows the death of Khan Jahan Lodi and his sons, being decaptured by soldiers from the Imperial army.
At the lower part of the miniature, you can see two trisulas of different forms.
This hapend in 1631 and the miniature was painted about two years later.
I dont know if Muslims would have used trisulas, but the Hindus would, and as there were many Hindu soldiers in the Mughal army these may have been Hindus.
