Default Mongelima sickle for comment

Here's a beautiful Mongelima sickle I was lucky enough to win on ebay a couple
weeks ago! Love all the great etching on these, and this one still has it leather thong!!
Was wondering if there's a parallel between the etching on the blade and body scarification?

Regards Ash

Awesome piece, congrats! I've been on the lookout for a good example of these for a while. I really like the bevels and relatively complex fullers.

I watched this one go on the auction. A very good piece at a fair price. Ones of this quality and in this condition rarely come on the market. I'm glad it went to a forum member.

Its an interesting point about the scarification and the blade decoration - I have no idea if there is a direct link but it is pretty easy to see a common artistic theme between both.
