Just picked this up. Nice old one I think but the scabbard will need some restoration.

That is a nice palembang keris, Lew. Some polish on the scabbard is necessary. The scabbard looks pretty good to me, but that is something you can tell when you received this one.

Ah! yes... A simple and no nonsense tough-looking blade. Was monitoring this piece. The selut seems to be a little oversize.

Actually, was tempted to bet on that but later overlooked with my work loads. ![]() That is really a practical and functional keris. Like what Alam Shah said, no-nonsense blade. Try stab a banana stem and you'll know what I mean. ![]() |

The keris arrived today. I put some polish on it and it brought it back nicely.
