Default VERY UNUSUAL ZULU CLUB FLY WHISK

I have recently acquired this unusual club/fly whisk , I have been told these were used to navigate/direct troops ? I have never seen one before and cant find any information on it ,any help would be great it measures 36 inches in total

Unusual. Probably belonged to a village headman or similar. Most likely Mashona (Zimbabwe).

Very nice; could you post a closeup of the wirework especially on the whisk end?
