Old Mandau to swap
Interesting old and untouched Mandau to swap. The blade is 46.5 cm long, not the biggest blade but beautifully balanced in the hand. Small section of engraving to both sides at the forte. The back at the forte is aprox 8 mm wide. The scabbard is surprisingly plain and of simple construction. The leaches on the carved panel are particularly fat and glossy, well fed. There is an ivory? disc on some cordage. The scabbard is stained with something, I will leave that to your own imagination. There are 3 nicks in the blade I hope you can see in the close up pictures. The handle is very well carved with lots of fine detail.
Due to import taxes on declared insurance values I have to restrict any swap to the EU, which luckily we can still have free trade!!!!! I think most people who might like this Mandau should know what interests me but I will say clubs. If you want better pictures I will try to provide them. So far the offers have been of items I already have. Ideally I would like something I do not have. So perhaps I need to say world wide swap and just pay taxes. Somebody must want this Mandau for a club from PNG, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, pan Melanesia, South America. I do not need a Mandau. It will be here and I will bump the thread up now and again.

I like these. I would like one with a good bi-coned head.
