Had been in a Canadian collection, supposedly French & Indian Wars vintage. The blade is 19-1/2" (419mm) overall by 3-1/4" (83mm) wide. It is rather thin only 0.14" (3.6mm) max near the rib. The ring is 1.229" (31.2mm) dia. Attached to a non-original shaft, whole thing about 7 feet (2.13meter) overall. It had been identified as French by a fellow who is a consultant to the Metropolitan Museum in NYC. Unfortunately some ambitious person took an abrasive belt to it here & there.

Opinions? Do you gentlemen think it may be French?
