My guess would be Zande. The hilt on Hausa daggers are different.

The hilt on zande is ivory the dagger is circa 1920s. Yes it could have been used as an arm dagger or carried on the waist. Your the blade does not looked forged so I would say 1930-40 but could be earlier? |

Yes ivory pre ban ivory. The seller did not want to ship outside the EU or I would have got it
