Naga Kris
Just Warming up this forum a bit, and please consider as my introduction to this forum
now this is one of my collection, though not the very good one this one was rescued from a collection of more than 1000 krisses / swords / tumbaks (lance head) from a collector according to me, this was a kamardikan, or newly made ... being newly made, of course could means 20 - 60 years old found without hilt and sheath, and have to found one that fits, though not elaborate / expensive one at first this keris is totally covered in rust, and simple traditional process of rust removal and warangan reveal it's true form dhapur : nogo rojo luk : 13 tangguh : kamardikan kinatah mas now ... oiled with choji oil pardon the quality of the pics, as I took them with phone camera Last edited by satsujinken; 13th September 2012 at 09:54 AM. |

Hello Satsujinken,
Welcome to the forum and thanks for letting us have a peek at your keris collection! I agree with your opinion about this blade - seems like it fits well with examples discussed recently in this thread. Is your keris also gilt brass? Regards, Kai |

checked all the rust and still cannot find traces of green patina - that's why I bought it at the first place sadly in several areas the gold is peeling away such as in the naga's body next time I will bring more discussion about keris in this forum |
