where this one came from?
I met this keris yesterday. It came in a jogjanese sandalwood gayaman.
The keris it self shows a very beautiful whelding pattern, the iron and the slorok really amazed me. I really need the Information about its origin. is it a javanese keris or a malay keris/palembang? |

I think when it is from might be as interesting a question as where it is from.

Doesn't look much Like Jowo to me Ferry --- rondha, sogokan, blumbangan, kembang kacang, pawakan, gandik.Even the material. From the pic I cannot guess where it might be from. Maybe Jawa Timur? Or maybe Sumatera Selatan?
Somewhere with Jawa influence but not a direct connection. |

Ferry, by "slorok" are you referring to the "window" of darker iron at the center of the blade? I don't believe i have ever here the word applied in this manner.
