Keris carita
Hello,
I acquired this keris not too long ago. Seems to be Javanese, dapur carita. Pamor is beras/wos wutah I think. The blade exhibits a nice sustained ring when struck. Not particularly old, I have the impression the blade is coated with laquer as the surface is smooth and has what looks like streaks running the length of the blade. I realize it's practically impossible to tell from pictures whether this is the case or not, so I'll just ask if this is at all common. I'd like to re-stain the blade to bring out the pamor some more, and I'm currently hunting for some appropriate realgar on the bay. Any thoughts and comments would be appreciated. Emanuel |

The keris it self looks new for me. we can see some file markings on the keris. the ricikan does not look good. the finishing work was not well done. |
