Hi Muji Keris,
This is the dapur Naga Sasra 11 luk. I don't think this is an old keris, but a keris of rather recent manufacture. Still a very attractive keris. |

This question gets back to something we were discussing in another thread about dhapur, and how strictly we wish to apply pakem.
According to the Surakarta pakem, Nagasasra is a 13 luk keris. Not 11 luk, not 9 luk----etc, etc. However, in recent years a lot of people have taken to calling keris that display most of the ricikan of a true nagasasra, but with less than 13 luk, a "nagasasra luk 11", or "nagasasra luk 9", and so on. If we are prepared to be a bit relaxed, we could call this keris a Nagasasra luk 11. From the photo it looks like a current era keris, but it really should be handled before giving any definite decision on age. |
