Default Felddegen / Campaign Sword 17th century

For sale is this beautiful campaign sword from the 2nd half of the 17th century. It comes from the castle of Pux (Burg Pux) in Styria/Austria. The dating, the engraved Turk heads and the provinience makes it very likely, that the sword was in use during the Turkish Wars.
The original castle of Pux burned down on Christmas eve 1779 and was rebuilt 1911. One can see that the grip is charred partly - a hint that the sword was already part of the armoury of the old castle and survived the fire.

Approx dimensions: total length: 95,5cm, blade: 81cm, blade width 3,6cm

Asked price for this very piece of history is 1290€ + shipping.
