yeah, you got that right: W W!!! excellent piece, tho. complete, with all the trimmings. but at $1850.00? i guess, if i had that much dinero too....
here's one that i didn't quite understand: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1 for $500.00 tho? it's nice and all, but not at that price. i reckon bidder's depression kicked in... and to think that he was offered $2000.00 for both before the bidding was over, lol... that was too funny |

For a given quality, flashy krises and kerises always fetch more, I guess.

...IMHO good presentation by the seller helped out a lot, too. i remember there was an ivory hilted kris that came out about 6 or so month ago, and it 'only' went for $750.00...
still shaking my head on the other kris, tho... |

Oh yes, the pictures are very important. They can make good pieces look dull, or make mediocre pieces look like a thousand.
But sometimes, we pray for bad pictures because then, experience comes into play and there is usually less competition. But of course, even experienced collectors get tripped sometimes. |
