Default Indonesian Jambiya

Hi again,

Just received this new jambiya made in Indonesia.

I'm really impressed with this cross-culture style: arabian form of the blade and indonesian fittings

And the blade has also pamor just like indonesian kerises

The handle remind me of my other dagger

OK I can show it like this but now it's evening and I cannot take any additional photos, if more are required I'll try it tomorrow

That's fine for me .
Pamor for sure, no pattern that I can see but probably not to be expected in this type of blade .

Nice.

The fittings look fairly recent to me (even given the cracks at the hilt). Not sure that the blade is much older either; I'd guess current production or from the last few decades.

I'm especially wondering about the placement of the rib: in Indonesian blades this is usually found along the center of the blade and less pronounced than in the Arab progenitor.

Regards,
Kai
