Default Japanese Bone Carvings (3)

3 nice Japanese Bone Carvings in good condition. An expert in these things tells me that they are hand carved and not machine done. There are no cracks or chips on the carvings themselves but the "interlocking" section of one piece has chips from it. I believe that these are maybe knife handles of some sort. Each piece is of different size and has a "wrap around" decoration. None interlock. The mark on one piece is not a crack, but a groove in the bone, which was there prior to carving as the design goes thru the groove.
Guaranteed to be bone, and NOT some sort of resinous material. Probably pre WW2.
