what is the "original" sansibar design (carigara, leyte)
there was a video made and is now circulating, about the supposed "original 1881 design" or "first design" of the Sansibar sword of Carigara, Leyte.
https://www.facebook.com/dennis.gara...56141221595893 the "internet research" cited at the end of the video was: kult of athena and Traditional Filipino Weapons. (no, i am not part of the production of the video) in the interest of more research, do you have old sansibars or photos of older sansibars? i do not believe that the "original 1881 carigara sansibar" presented in the video is actually authentic, it is a modern design by pangasinan smiths. here is a photo of my carigara sansibar, made about 2 years ago.
