Wow, so jealous! Lovely and definitely a kastane. Fully native blade 18th? No imported European "junk" here Is that a double-edged blade?!

This truly is a handsome example of what appears to be an 18th century kastane, and it is unusual to see these without the usual trade hanger blades. The decorative forte block suggests this was for a figure in Ceylon with considerable influence, the detail in motif is outstanding.

Other than that, that my be real gold leaf, probably is, and probably old. If not original probably repair for what was original.
