Tenegre & Kris For Sale
Unusual Maguindanao Kris
$225.00 Banati kakatua pommel with unusual medallions embedded on both sides. Grip are copper wire and what looks like a silver/brass alloy band. Blade is half wave, half straight. What's unusual is the tiger stripes like lamination on it. No scabbard. http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j6...n/246be688.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j6...n/d92915a1.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j6...n/5cdd3994.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j6...n/db1c863a.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j6...n/3b65ca55.jpg Last edited by Spunjer; 17th May 2006 at 02:52 AM. |

Unusual Visayan Tenegre
$225.00 Odd sundang in that it has Luzon traits all over it. Hilt is full on visayan 'diety' style. carving is excellent and complete. now for the Luzon trait.. Tang is thru the handle, common on Luzon weapons. Weird part about it, it's held on with a nut. Disc guard appears to be some type of brass coin or medallion. Blade is chiseled but it's very subtle, almost none existent. Also, blade is extremely sharp. also there's a stippled vine of some sort on the side. No scabbard. http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j6...n/b556e02c.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j6...n/a02d6a1a.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j6...n/eb050733.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j6...n/4666e1d9.jpg |
