Help to read the marks on a possible medieval sword
Dear Forum,
I would ask your help to understand the marks on this blade. I have seen similar ones on medieval swords but with no explanations, so i imagine it's a quite classical meaning. The blade is 92.3 cm. Thank you very much for your help |

It looks like three gothic letters. But I can’t tell you about the meaning. Often there were initial letters used as short form for e.g. spiritual / Christian phrases

Additionnaly, the mark (attachement 235571) could be a Passau wolf but I'm not really sure. Thanks |

Variations of MINI, II MINI II appear in German blades. Others may tell you more about it .
