Knife I.D. Help Needed
Hello,
I'm new to the board, and recently picked this blade up with a small collection of edged weapons. I collect Pacific Island clubs, so this piece is a little out of my area of knowledge. The overall length is 18 1/4" of which the blade accounts for about 14 1/2". The fitting on the handle where it meets the blade appears to have what looks like two tiny cut down pins used as shims to keep the blade from moving. Can anyone help me out with this blade? Thanks, Joe |

Joe,
Welcome to the forum. A very pitted blade. It seems to have some age. My field either, but a careful guess is a hirschfanger, a hunting dagger. |
