A club for identification
I've won a German auction for a club and a pedant, the pedant is in my humble opinion from the Asmat people and I guess that the club is from West New Guinea or Papua New Guinea but I am unsure. Any informed guesses from you?

It looks rather short and light in weight. It might be a sago stirrer / paddle.

It's 117 cm (approx. 46 inch) long. And I think that I know this sort of wood, I own a spear from the Abelam people with the same wood, I think it's palm wood. I don't think it's a sago stirrer. Regards, Detlef |

Thank you Tim!
Frankly said, you was my great hope to identify it! My old friend Ulrich Kortmann, who would have been able to identify it, is deceased last year. Sadly and too early! Regards, Detlef |

Here are three that I have from the same part of the world but different locations. I had more but some went to auction some years back. The longest one with the spike is 138cm long.
