Default Clever Work

Something in the Neka Museum.

Not quite to my taste, but it is certainly clever and skillful work.

It is no wonder I always think there is something unique about this keris but I just cannot tell why. It is more like a feeling. It turns out actually Bilah is made in Madura.

Nice good craft-work.

Agreed Alan. There is no denying the level of skill applied, but it is not to my tastes either.

Great craftsmanship yet I'm a bit surprised at the lack of contrast in the pamor.
I wish there was a picture of the sarong.

They would not have used pure nickel for the pamor, probably some recycled nickel alloy material.

The sarung is behind the blade, it is a similar sort of thing to the one at the top of this page:-

pure art, nothing realistic about it --- but then that's what Mr. Neka is all about:- art.
