Ottoman court
A rare Ottoman court sword (or knife) in almost mint condition. Very clean two edged blade with no pitting at all. Hilt of a massive single piece of walrus ivory. Scabbard of wood, cloth and silver fittings. Complete except a slash of cloth on back side. Silver pieces have soultan tougras and second hallmark (the maker?). Even the ring has a hallmark. 34cm long. Price $830 registered shipping included.

Well, it is at least 100 years old but not more than 200. The funny thing is that I always wanted to find a reference of the Tougras to compare. You can pinpoint the age because every Soultan of Ottoman Empire had his own mark. The problem is that if you are not familiar with Islamic writing, this is difficult because they look the same.
