Help With Polearm Head ID Please
One of several mystery pieces in my collection , seems to me maybe German 18th century? Just don't know and we do not have the access to information here in the US as you lucky members in Europe ! Thank you .
its 72.3 cm long must be ground find as lot of pitting , could be garden décor! |

Doesn't seem like a decor to me; aren't those langets to mount on haft ?
Is that some kind of smith's mark, or some kind of motif ... could you examine that, or post a close up picture ? . |

Sorry, I forgot. The cypher "FR" under a crown is that of the Prussian king Frederic II, the Great, *1712, +1786.

Hello,
this could be a relict from American Revolutionary War. Many german troups were fighting in this war. I added one picture with a figure, a German Sergeant Grenadier, Regiment v. Rall, American Revolutionary War, 1775-1783. Roland |
