Gobang Kalewang Djago
Hullo everybody!
I thought this item may be of interest to someone. Just sold for US$1700! I hope the buyer bought it knowing what it is, rather than what it may look like. If not, I will be happy to 'look after it' should it become available. Best, |

Whats the significance of the Eagle? Is it an Indonesian symbol? BTW. Well spotted! It's a scabbard throat isn't it. |

Amuk, how do you know that it used to belong to a djago? Was that part of the seller's description?
Neither Sundanese nor Indonesian is not my mother tongue but I would consider it a Golok Sunda Belanda Kombinasi based on the Aceh scabbard throat. The eagle is Garuda. Michael |

Would you be happy to look after it for the said amount ?!? The scabbard mouth is Aceh. Would like to find one of those as they are often missing / demaged etc. Best regards, Willem |
