It's been a while since I had anything new to share. Here is my latest. The kris is 28" overall with a 23 3/4" blade. The baca baca is iron or steel, and the hilt needs some wrapping. The gunong has a 5 3/8" blade, and is 9" overall. Both have pattern welded blades.

Nice job on the etching love the punal. Nice old blade on the kris the hilt will need some TLC. Congrats |

SEA weapons are not my thing, but it looks like two nice blades found the perfect new home. Great job on the etching, I only wish I could get subtle patterns to pop out like that.

The kris looks Maranao and perhaps late 19c. I like some of the laminations on it. Too bad the hilt was rehilted and torn apart.....
