Fernando is New Addition to Moderator Staff
I am pleased to announce that Fernando has now officially been appointed to moderators position here on the European Armoury. It had been decided that with the long absence of Ed, it would be a good measure to emplace another moderator to balance the administrative duties and overseeing here.
The forum's great success has been due to the keen participation of all of you, along with Fernando, who has shared his enthusiasm in personally fostering the friendly and learned demeanor we strive to maintain here. I hope everyone will join me in congratulations to Fernando, and Im very glad to have him joining the staff here!!! |

Hi Fernando,
My best congratulations on this important step in your career, you sure deserved it! Cheers!!! Please do go on accepting at least some of my humble contributions, boss. Am I allowed to still call you amigo?: shrug: And, Jim: optimal choice, that one! With all my very best wishes, Michael Last edited by Matchlock; 18th May 2010 at 12:38 AM. |

Congratualtions on a most deserved promotion, Fernando! Fortunately, the level of participation here tends to be such that moderating is rarely really necessary, but it is always nice to be recognized for your extraordinary contributions in both quantity and quality.
Regards, Teodor |

Belated congratulations! I mod on a couple other boards (one requires active moderation, while the other is fairly calm, like it is here), so I understand the ups and downs inherent to it. I'm sure you'll do fine

A bit late, but let me join to the general congratulations for your appointment to the position of Moderator, Fernando .
In my experience (I moderate other fora) this tends to be kind of a mixed blessing, but this is definitely a fairly quiet place in terms of calls for attention. Hopefully, the stick won't be needed much... although is always good to have it there, anyway. Just in case. In any event, I could hardly think in a better choice for Resident Staff. Way to go! |

Yes, a strong reason that took me to accept the invitation is that people here are cool and calm ... and wise. Come to think i don't yet have a stick . Thanks for your thoughts. Fernando |

Hi Fernando,
First of all, many congratulations on your well deserved promotion. Secondly, sincere apologies for my belated response to the good news I have been a little indisposed of late. You do realise of course that this elevation brings with it great responsibility, indeed, none greater than the onerous duty to bring to the Forum at regular intervals new purchases of hand cannons, rapiers etc so that we may further our knowledge of these most important of subjects. I'm absolutely sure your lovely wife will have complete understanding of this very necessary function and duty of your new position Once again many congratulations. With Kind Regards, Norman. |

Hi Norman,
Long time no see You are so much welcome back . Thank you for your kind words. Indeed i don't know which is harder; moderating you 'peaceful' guys or finding new items ... for a reasonable price, i mean . Lucky the wife is proud of one and tolerates the other . Guess which is which . |

I know she will be proud of both sides of the coin but like every other woman on the planet she won't tell you, you are supposed to be like every other man on the planet when it comes to understanding women "psychic". If she really gets fed up with all the 'clutter' you have my address, after all, what are friends for? Warm Regards, Norman. Last edited by fernando; 27th July 2010 at 04:32 PM. |
