VICTORIAN HIDDEN COACH DAGGER
THIS WAS SOMETHING NEW IN MY EXPERIENCE, BUT I AM SURE WEAPONS WERE HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT IN MANY PLACES, COACHS, SHIPS CABINS, HOMES ECT. THIS ONE JUST SOLD ON EBAY #2294864666, I HAVE SEEN MANY VICTORIAN CANES AND SWAGGER STICKS WITH CONCELED BLADES AND SOME ORIENTAL KNIVES THAT LOOKED LIKE A STICK OR A FAN BUT COULD BE USED TO STRIKE AND HAD A BLADE INSIDE. HAS ANYONE SEEN ANY OTHER EXAMPLES OF WEAPONS INCORPORATED INTO FURNITURE , TRANSPORTATION OR THE ROOM ITSELF?

A bit to the side, perhaps, but I once saw an old bronze/brass gas lamp that folded out into a water pipe. Unusual fixtures....

I once seen a wrench that had a concealed knife. That was one mechanic you made sure you paid!

PICTURE OF ITEM
HERE IS A PICTURE OF THE HIDDEN COACH DAGGER. IT DIDN'T SAY WHERE IN THE COACH IT WAS LOCATED BUT THAT IT MATCHED THE OTHER FITTINGS AND THAT WHEN IT WAS TURNED IT COMPRESSED THE SPRINGS AND WAS RELEASED FOR DRAW.
I BOROWED THIS PICTURE FROM THE AUCTION FOR STUDY PURPOSES, IF THE MODERATORS THINK IT WOULD BE A PROBLEM PLEASE REMOVE IT. THANKS |
