An old blade in new dress ?
The possibility of a joint failure in the hilt is there for it to be a true 'user' . Pretty, but not of the same age .......... unless ... I now know the origin of the ball point pen clip . |

thank's for comment. So you think someone give the blade a "new" using dress some time ago? I get it with heavy corrosion and clean the blade with lemon acid. sajen |

Sorry, IMHO an old blade in an new fanatasy dress.
Cleaning the blade will not help much. Often these blades are laminated, but with this heavy pitting it will never become a good looker. Try the search function on this website for rentjong and/or rencong There are several nice examples in various threads. From tourist , to good old "Aceh war period"pieces and even "royal" examples. Good luck |
