Can any Dha lover analyse the attached pictures and give an opinion?
I am totally incompetent in the Dha world, but think that this dha is from thailand, blade is : 57 cm, grip 31.cm, blade thickness at the grip : 9.3mm, width of the blade at its max: 26.6 mm. Sheath in wood with very fine rattan binding. Thanks for any information. Regards Michel |

Thank you Andrew and Mark.
XX century probably ? I am hesitating if I should do anything on the blade or the sheath or just leave it as it is. Thanks for your opinion. Regards Michel |

Any time.
![]() I think it is 20th C., though it looks fairly old, so perhaps the first half of the century. As for restoration, I would just clean off the active rust and oil or wax it. Originally it would not have had a high polish, though if you see evidence of lamination or edge hardening you might consider having one side poilished to reveal that. |
