What a Tabouka looks like when dis-assembled?

Hi everyone,
three Tabouka were listed on eBay awhile back. In terrible condition and in various states of dis-repair. However, the pictures I obtained give us a good indication to how these are constructed. Not overly impressed with the tang rivetted to the blade.....poor quality?....tourist piece? or the usual method?

Very interesting, I am not that surprised. This does not mean they are not up to the job. I have felt for a long time now that they are most often a dress sword.
