Really I don't have any experience on that. But according to some local belief in Jawa (you may ask Mr Oesman, he is experienced on spiritual matter in keris like this, I think), "yoni in keris will be gone if the keris blade undergoes heat treatment..." (Pls forgive me for my late response)
But according to Bali tradition, according to Ketut Mudra (a traditional keris smith in Klungkung, Bali), "forging place for keris (besalen) is a holy place, where god Brahma usually passes on his spiritual strength to kerises...,"
