Makes sense and there has been significant trade at times between PH and its neighbors.

I agree. Many of these pieces seem to have been collected during the 19th C. However, several appear to be older, notably some of the
barung,
kris, and
kampilan. I have posted a comment on the
kris that I think is the oldest example on these panoplies
in this thread.
