In “Cut and Thrust Weapons” (1969) by Eduard Wagner there are several Austro-Hungarian pallasches with what’s described as a “short jagged tooth” on the back edge of the blade near the point. The author claimed that the tooth helped the wielder aggravate the wound when thrusting.
