Well the one beside it does not have the SEA flairs that show in this smaller dagger, that is the wonderful vegetal carvings on the sheath and hilt. I wouldn't have placed the larger blade in the region of the Philippines viewing it on its own. Placed together though these two daggers seem to almost undeniably be of the same origin. That begs the question, is the larger dagger from the Philippines and simply lacking any motifs from the area or is the smaller dagger actually European with some exotic SEA flair added for interest. I frankly don't know the answer and for me the origins of both these blades is still up in the air.
